Day 2: No One Knew Just What Was About To Happen....

Besides that Ms. Joanna said we MUST go to Magic Kingdom and meet Goofy by 9:15am. This meant early to rise and out the door quickly AND into MK before all the lines - odd looks as to why we got in were many......but OH was it so cool to enter MK with hardly anyone there :)

There are not many times you can get pictures inside of a park with NO ONE in the background ;-) This was the kids as Mommy and Daddy searched for The Wish Lounge --- which surprisingly none of the cast members we encountered knew what we were talking about.

Getting Zachary all ready - Jacket off Pump on BRING ON...............................

 GOOFY

That is right folks....Ms. Joanna was able to talk to the kind people at WDW and arrange a Private meeting with Goofy in the flesh (um, well, um costume as Zoe pointed out to us -- not to Zach ;-)

Even with Zoe knowing who Goofy was really -- she was still in AWE and Little Man, I think he was in heaven!!!!

 They played and played --- we had Goofy all to ourselves for almost 45 minutes - here is just a couple seconds of the boys playing....

Zachary, who is a selective mute and rarely talks to others outside our family when in public decided it was time to whisper in Goofy's ear and ask a question ---- He asked

"Will you ride in your roller coaster with me?"

I couldn't believe Goofy heard him as the rest of us did not

Next thing we knew we were waiting........

Back to being all bundled up for the chilly morning

Mr James took us to ToonTown and told us to wait by the exit to Goofy's BarnStormer Roller Coaster. He told us he couldn't promise Goofy would be able to ride but no matter what he would wait at the exit for Zachary.

We watched as Goofy came out of the Judge's Tent towards us.

All the families and kids were excited - trying to stop him for pictures - but he came RIGHT to Zach.....

The very next thing we knew is we were fighting the crowds up the exit - all the kids were trying to stop Goofy but he was on a mission with Zach

What happened next I never thought would come true - Our son's

 DREAM REALLY DID COME TRUE

The one dream Zach has ever told us about is "Goofy riding Goofy's roller coater with me"

 

We have waited a very LONG time to see a smile like that - one deep down inside straight from his heart.

When we were back at GKTW a volunteer we were talking to had told us "Do you know just how special that really was? In my 7 years here I have never heard of this happening! Normally WDW will only let the characters on the carousel and that is it!" She was in such shock.

We do know (even before she told us) just how special this was.

Not only did Goofy ride with Zachary

BUT

it was Zach's very first time on a roller coaster EVER (just barely reaching the height to ride)

AND

we were the ONLY family on the coaster!

That was TRULY

A DREAM COME TRUE

that will be remembered for a lifetime!!!! :)

 Mommy needed to get a picture afterwards with those who made this Dream really come to life.

I also had to give Mr James a huge hug as tears rolled down my face.

To think this was only the very beginning of the day too.........
