Day 5: A Super Hero Packed Day

In the morning it was off to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
This by far was my favorite day- next to all of Zachary's Goofy time of course ;-) I had heard from some friends that have done this trip with their little ones the treatment is better and I couldn't believe it -- UNTIL we experienced it first hand.....AMAZING is the only word I have for it ALL AROUND!!!!!!

Harry Potter World was slammed pack - I swear everyone in the park was only in this area. The good news - even with it being packed we were able to ride the much talked about ride over there it was GREAT!!!!
Shelley stayed with the little ones while us big kids (including Zoe) went for a fun ride - and bypassed the wait ;-)

So as you can tell the beginning of the day the kids wanted nothing to do with me or my camera again :) but that all changed when we met the superheros!!!!
After we rode a ride and met Spiderman a super kind worker named Andy came up to us and asked if we wanted to meet all the superheros at once. Zach was in awe and of course wanted to. We waited a little while and he took us to a Do Not Enter area of the park Then we waited some more......

Until we saw this coming towards us......

Super Kids

Super Family

Zachary even spent time talking with them.....well, they did most of the talking ;-) but he tried.......

(check back for video of Zach hanging with the Superhero Squad)

This just says it all about our day
and this was only 1/2 of our day.......

Day 4: Off To Animal Kingdom......& Epcot

Warning - this was not much of a picture day - the kids weren't into it....by day 4 they were done with me and I decided to just let it go and have fun with them :)

walking away was the fist sign I lost my little models

Picture of the picture AK took on the Dinosaur ride --- that Zach LOVED and made us go on multiple times

Although we had a late start to the day at the parks we tried to make it until the fireworks - that didn't work too well....Zach fell asleep on Spaceship Earth and had lots of movement issues. We headed home to be on the safe side of things and I'm glad we did - I was able to catch some activity on film to show the doc this coming week.

Day 4: Ice Cream For Breakfast

You read that right you can not come to GKTW and not have Ice Cream for breakfast at least once during your stay. The Ice Cream Palace is open from 7:30am - 9:30pm everyday.

Who wouldn't love to eat at a building that looks like this

So cute inside as well

Little man really loved his Rice Dream Ice Cream Sundae

Zoe begged for this moment to happen

All smiles and Hard at work

Mommy and Daddy were good - we ate real breakfast :)

Before I Go Any Further......The Story of Two Friends

A while back I was visiting on the GKTW FB fan page and a post came up, it had all sorts of people talking about what a wonderful place the village was and one post stood out to me - from a grandma to a very special little girl. I told her that our family was coming the same week - it sparked a new friendship and next thing I knew I was friends with her daughter as well. We spoke over FB and started following each others Caring Bridge sites keeping up with the kids. As the time came closer I was getting more and more excited to meet them all --- so was Zach, even Zoe was getting in on the excitement.

We did meet and we did even get to spend some special time in the village and in the parks with each other.
Zachary and Serenity when they met it was as if they already knew each other - they were 2 peas in a pod and didn't want to be separated. Here are some of the pictures I was able to capture of the 2 of them :)

He loved when she would push him :) If she wasn't pushing they were holding hands or sharing chips - it was very cute!!!!!

Of course the both LOVE the carousel --- especially the reindeer ;-)

Fun at Night with Zoe and Zachary

Zoe always wanted a little sister

Waiting at the park to see.......

Tigger

This picture has Shari and Shelley 2 of the kindest people I have ever met.
I feel so very blessed that not only did Zachary and Zoe make a friend for a lifetime but I made 4 (let's not forget Al who isn't pictured)
We live VERY Far apart but will always forever be in my mind and heart!!!!

Day 3: All Tuckered Out For The Tuck-In

This was the scene in our villa before a planned Tuck-In with Mayor Clayton. The fact that Zach fell asleep was not so far fetched as he always sleeps.......

The real surprise came as you looked a little harder and saw Zoe was also sleeping

We tried to wake them both up - Zoe woke up and ran to her bed, Zach got carried to the door when we heard the knock. Doug tried to put him down but he lost his balance and needed back up for support.
We welcomed Mayor Clayton into our Villa with a tad of embarrassment that the kids were already so tired and one was sleeping - we heard he likes to jump on the beds
He didn't mind one bit and still tucked them both in....

First was Zachary who was sound asleep when we laid him down.

Zoe, who had woken up just to get tucked back in was next.......
First a fluff of the pillow

PERFECT

No Mayor Clayton this isn't Hide & Seek

There she is! All ready for bed with smiles and sweet dreams :)
