It was a beautiful day as we left for our drive down to Orlando. Cool, breezy and sunny - nothing better for a child who has heat intolerance issues the whole week ahead was looking to be a similar with a slight warming pattern -- No Rain in sight :)
As you pull up to GKTW this is the sign that greats you...then you pass the welcome gates to a friendly smile and hear a very nice
"Welcome Home!"
First stop The House of Hearts where everyone has a smile and is ready to check you into your new home for the week.
Home Sweet Home - a cozy 2 bed room 2 bathroom living room full kitchen laundry room villa.
To our surprise this place isn't for the adults it is for the kids and they were treated to the "Master Bed Room" with a huge bathroom in their room complete with a jacuzzi tub (which btw did get used 2x by both kids ;-)
The cute surprise waiting inside for the kids - and us too :)
The family photo that wasn't the best out of the week - Daddy, Mommy & Zoe had our sunglasses on and poor little man - well....he didn't want to wear his. He also couldn't or didn't want to roll up onto the mulch.
Our front porch had these rocking chairs - the kids loved them
So did Mom and Dad - they were all around the village so you could sit and unwind
Mommy with her babies
Headed out exploring the village this caught my eye
it reads
"Make Today Count For Our Children"
Something about it touched my heart as a tear fell from my eye - I think it was the moment, that overwhelming moment of being in such a wonderful place......a place we had no idea what we were walking into....
Sophie! This is so amazing! I can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip. I'm so thankful for organizations like this and I hope the rest of your trip went just as well. <3
